| im at work, so this will be a short post. all the pics from fellow xanga friends on their posts make me miss the guys (Bleach, The Lonely Hearts (fka Holland), and Slingshot 57) terribly...I'll get to see Bleach/Lonely Hearts in August, but who knows when I'll get to see SS 57. work is going well except ill be cutting back from 4-5 days/week to 2-3 days/week. i drive 1 hr. round trip and get paid 5.50/hr.+.25 differential for evenings or .35 differential for nights. im thinking about doing an EMT Basic course. it's free, you only pay for books. it would give me something else to do, plus, the way things are looking right now, i may not be able to move to nashville till next summer, unless someone actually pays me well for the work i do. so much for a short post. just wanted to give ya'll an update. later!  | | |
| Started my new job a couple days ago. I was supposed to be working evenings, but they needed me on nights to fill in, but that's not a bad thing. you clean the kitchen, 2 bathrooms, fix lunches for the residents' work the next day, fix/serve breakfast, and that's about it besides getting them up in the morning. not too much to do when there are only 4 residents. i had to drive them to "workshop" for the first time today by myself. it wouldn't be so bad except i hadn't driven a 15 passenger van made wheelchair accessible. buckling the chairs is the hardest part though. im scared i won't do it right, but there was someone there to make sure everything went alright. im still listening to the Rocket Summer cd. Let me just say that Brian is so well gifted and is AMAZING at what he does. Go get the cd and request it to be played at stations near you. Later! Misti | | |
| Finally, I got my Rocket Summer cd in the mail...and it is AWESOME!! Please pray for Jacie and her family-her Grandpa died earlier this week. | Life after graduation...what else can you say?.. Well, God has been good to me, and saying goodbye to my best friends was very hard, but God gave me peace about it. Anyway, the Lonely Hearts show was awesome! and no, I didn't get my cd's back. bummer: Josiah said they are lost and may have accidentally gotten thrown away by none other than his brother Will. Oh well, that's ok, 'cause Josiah's sending me a Rocket Summer cd instead. It's worth it... well, I will miss my Slingshot 57 "Stay the Course" cd, but I'll just get another copy as soon as I can. Another thing: I have a stalker..I'm serious! He keeps calling and won't stop, so I'm changing my number. So, friends of mine, beware. I will call you with the new number-It might not show up on caller id, so I wanted to warn you. I start a new job next week working with developmentally disabled people, and I can't wait! No more shows until August, I think, but that's ok. well, I'm off to find something else to do on the 'net. Later! Misti | | |
| WOW!!!! I graduate from college tomorrow, AAAAANNNNDDD I get to see The Lonely Hearts (FKA Holland) tomorrow night in Mt. Vernon, IL!  Come out and say hi to all of us! We'd love to see you! The only bad thing is that I have to say goodbye to my 3 best friends tomorrow. That will be one of the hardest things I'll ever have to do. Of course, I will get to talk to them once in a blue moon, but all 4 of us are living in different places, and far enough away that we can't see each other too often. Hopefully, my friend will be able to return my cd's to me tomorrow night at the show. We'll see.
